Capydocs 0.10.0 was released on February 4, 2026. It added image upscaling and scan extraction, expanded embedded metadata editing, and made TextPack and TextBundle conversion safer. The complete change list is in the Capydocs changelog.

Image processing

Real-ESRGAN upscaling added general and image-specific scaling options. Store builds ran the ONNX implementation, while web builds could use the configured command-line backend. Automatic orientation became an edition-gated action, and sub-image extraction could identify separate photographs inside a larger scan.

Image conversion and rotation used the same EXIF reader and writer. This kept orientation updates consistent and avoided crashes when a JPEG had no orientation tag. Photoshop previews also returned through embedded thumbnails or a rendered composite fallback.

Metadata across files

The metadata editor combined fields from EXIF, ID3, XMP, frontmatter, and sidecar sources while retaining each field's origin. Image metadata exposed common titles, descriptions, dates, camera values, orientation, and GPS coordinates.

A new geolocation control used OpenStreetMap search and direct coordinates. Multi File Info displayed shared tags and prefilled the date when every selected file had the same value. Bulk tag and date changes worked against the saved metadata rather than a stale view.

Cut, copy, and paste included .meta sidecars, so metadata followed the related file. File Info refreshed after an edit instead of requiring the folder to reopen.

TextPack and TextBundle conversion

The context menu could extract a TextPack into a directory-based TextBundle or compress a TextBundle into a TextPack. Markdown-to-TextPack conversion preserved frontmatter, resolved Vault-absolute image references, reported per-file progress, and showed missing attachments before modifying the source.

TextBundle folders opened through the bundled Markdown view and behaved like TextPacks in file listings. Archive navigation skipped empty folder chains and opened at the first meaningful directory.

Viewer and editor fixes

Folder view settings were reorganized into per-folder and global controls. CSV files gained a preview. PDF thumbnails and page proportions became more reliable. Backspace navigated backward in the file browser, while moving files preserved the current scroll position.

The Markdown editor kept task lists intact through Markdown and HTML conversion. Date fields waited for complete input before normalization, and image embeds used one Open row for modal, current-tab, or new-tab navigation.
