Capydocs arrives on the Mac App Store
The Full edition of Capydocs reached the Mac App Store on December 24, 2025. Apple handles its installation, ownership, and application updates through the normal App Store flow.
A sandboxed local-file application
The Mac App Store build uses Apple's application sandbox. Capydocs asks the user to select a Vault folder and stores a security-scoped bookmark for that choice. This lets the application reopen the same local files after a restart without requesting broad access to the computer.
Documents stay in the selected Vault. Installing through the App Store does not move them into a Capydocs cloud account.
The current Mac products
Capydocs now has two independent Mac App Store products:
- Capydocs Lite is the free desktop edition with defined limits.
- Capydocs is the Full desktop edition and is sold as a one-time purchase.
Lite followed the Full listing on December 30, 2025. It is a separate application rather than an in-app upgrade. Purchases belong to the Apple account and platform used for the transaction; they do not transfer to Microsoft Store, Google Play, or another store.
The current product comparison and every platform listing are available on the Capydocs pricing page and store selector.
