Capydocs arrives on the Microsoft Store
September 9, 2025 marked the first Microsoft Store distribution of Capydocs. Windows users could install the application through the normal Store flow and receive later versions from the same update channel.
The current Windows products
Capydocs now has two separate Windows listings:
- Capydocs Lite is the free desktop edition with defined limits.
- Capydocs is the Full desktop edition and is sold as a one-time purchase.
Both products use the same local-first file model. A Vault is a folder chosen on the computer, and its documents remain ordinary files. The desktop products do not require a Capydocs account to open the Vault.
What the Store channel provides
The Microsoft Store handles installation, ownership, and application updates. Lite and Full are independent products, so installing Lite does not convert it into Full. The in-app comparison explains which limits apply and links to the Full listing when a Lite workflow reaches one of them.
The Capydocs download options contain the current Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS listings. Capydocs does not publish direct Windows installers from the website.
